Tea and Melone Pan

I had a sketch session with a media design student at the zoo in Frankfurt on saturday. Later, we went to a japanese pâtisserie called Iimori to have a cup of tea. The sencha I ordered was served in a small cast iron teapot decorated with momiji motive. The waitresses in this café have lovely country-looked uniforms. What a charming pâtisserie!

Would you like a cup of tea?

All tea shop owners in my small city know me. Because they see me in their shops at least once a week. No place smells dreamlike like a tea shop. Besides, somehow all tea shop owners are friendly and very nice, maybe because they drink tea everyday and it calms them down. Sometimes I wish I had enough money to buy all kinds of tea and all tea things (cups, pots, filters, spoons, etc.)  they have in their shops.
I hadn't thought doodling tea things could be very fun, but it really did and I couldn't stop doodling a new one after another.

Manekineko-tea pot

This tea pot with rose motive is very lovely. Unfortunately, there is a small crack on it surface, that's why I got it very cheap from my favourite tea shop

Got this one from a tea shop where the owner sold dried fruits which tastes excellent with tea. Unfortunately, the shop went out of business..

Mum sent this Japanese tea cup with the saucer from Vietnam to me.

This one is a lovely small cup with a vintage touch.

Love tea cups which people serve me in Japanese restaurants.

Found this elegant cup in Mum's storage room in Vietnam. She never used it.

These three tea cups belonged to a set of five cups, but I only wanted to buy three.

Mum also sent this one from Vietnam to Germany.

Another forgotten tea cup in Mum's storage room in Vietnam.

Brown is one of my favourite colours.

A tea set with a pot and five cups with the rabbit playing on the moon motive. Because all five cups look the same, I decided to draw just only one of them.

This tea set with leaf motives is my first tea set. Each cup has a drawing of a different kind of leaves.

This one is one of my favourite cups. Tropical and colourful.

Moomins

I'm now reading the Moomin series by Tove Jansson, a Finnish illustrator and novelist, and bewitched by the fantastic world of Moomins.
This is a piece of fan art I made.

In this picture:
The blue Moomin House built by Moominpapa
Snufkin playing a harmonica
The Snork Maiden swaying with flowers
Too-Ticky watching a bird in the sky

In this picture:
Moomintroll, Moominpapa, Moominmama and their ancestor- A Finn Family
Little My chasing Sniff
A Hemulen examining a bug
Hattifatteners, creatures without emotion

Origami paper boat

I've longed to hear sounds of beach waves. So I folded a paper boat and wished it could bring me to the sea.

2011, the year of the cat

In many asian countries, 2011 is the year of the rabbit, but in my country it is the year of the cat.

I was supposed to learn for my exam, which is coming in February, but reading the whole script of Management is so boring. So I took a pause and drew this postcard named Neko with my ballpen.
